Starting Monday, the Astros are allowing players to have limited access to Minute Maid Park and their spring training facility in West Palm Beach, Florida. General Manager James Click says players who choose to work out individually will have to follow strict safety rules. Those rules include social distancing, a limited number of players and staff allowed into the facility at a time, screening for symptoms, and face masks unless a player is involved in strenuous activity.
Major League Baseball has been on hold since suspending spring training in mid-March, but owners and players are currently negotiating on a plan to start an abbreviated season by early July.
