Tension is ramping up between the U.S. and China over the pandemic

President Trump says the World Health Organization is a puppet of China and he's threatened to cut off U.S. funding of the W-H-O. Tension is rising between the U.S. and China over the pandemic and the militaries are rattling sabers.

General Jack Keane told Fox news the Chinese are stepping up their military presence in the South China Sea.

"What they're attempting to do is weaken the resolve of our allies by demonstrating the United States doesn't have the status it once had."

The President and many of our allies are upset with China for its handling of the outbreak.

"They didn't allow people to go into China but they did allow them to go out to the world, including the United States."

President Trump was asked about his relationship with his Chinese counterpart.

"I have a very good relationship but right now I don't want to speak with him."

A Chinese foreign minister says they've done nothing wrong and he blames the U.S. for a slow and clumsy response to the virus.

"For some time certain U.S. politicians have disregarded facts and vilified an assault at China in an attempt to shirk their own responsibility for their incompetence in fighting this pandemic, divert people's attention, pass the buck and blame others for their fault."

Both sides have increased their military presence in the South China Sea.
