Montgomery County Public Health District, in conjunction with Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, is saddened to confirm the 18th death related to COVID-19 in Montgomery County. He was a man in his 50s, who resided in Conroe. We offer our condolences to his family at this time.
We can also confirm the number of ACTIVE cases of COVID-19 has increased to 483 today. That number includes 57 hospitalizations. 272 people have fully recovered. The number of total positive cases has increased 15 since yesterday to 773. With increased testing in Montgomery County, we do expect a rise in positive cases.

Just a reminder, the MCHD/MCPHD voucher program for COVID-19 testing is up and running. Please call 936-523-5040 to obtain a voucher for one test at no out-of-pocket cost, regardless of symptoms, while supplies last. Clients with symptoms can use the voucher for testing at either the America’s ER Drive-Thru Testing Site or Lone Star Family Health Center. Clients without symptoms may only use America’s ER Drive-Thru Testing Site. The resident must present a voucher at time of testing, only one voucher per client - no repeat testing. Vouchers not used within 5 days are no longer valid.
The Call Center will take calls to obtain vouchers from 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday.
