Our heroes in military uniform are honoring the heroes in hospital scrubs.
The US Navy Blue Angels will perform a flyover across Houston Wednesday as a salute to healthcare workers, first responders, and others who are working on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic.
The flyover will enter the Houston area from The Woodlands at about 12:30 p.m. and follow the Eastex Freeway over Humble and Kingwood. The team will pass over the downtown area twice, including the Medical center, before heading to southwest Houston, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Cinco Ranch and Katy. They will head east, passing over Jersey Village, then back over downtown and Ellington Field around 1:00 p.m.
The Blue Angels have been joined by the Air Force Thunderbirds in flyovers in other major US cities. They will offer similar salutes in Dallas and New Orleans tomorrow.
