Houston's Mayor Turner comments on crime increase.

Over the weekend, at an event where the mayor and many volunteers were giving out masks to many Houstonians, Mayor Sylvester Turner was asked by a reported what he had to say about the recent rise in crime in his city. He answered, "Our resources have been so stretched thin. Our first resp have been asked to do so much. Here we're ordering Houstonians to stay at home unless their work is essential. Those who engage in illegal crime are not following those orders, which is unfortunate."

With homes being occupied during the day, home burglaries are down. But many office buildings and retail establishments are closed and those burglaries are up.
