Buying a home these days isn't what it was just a couple of weeks ago. Houston Area home buyers and realtors and are facing the social distancing challenge by using virtual home tours, online mortgage applications, remote notarization and Facetime to help them get it done. Realtor Thai Klamis Houston Association of Realtor's I.T. Chairman and says technology has come to the rescue. "You can do it all from your kitchen table, just like ordering a book from Amazon. There's a tremendous need for it. You're able to communicate through video and electronic notaries and virtual showings." 

"First you take a virtual tour of some homes, and then decide on your favorite home or two. That is when you physically visit them --- practicing extreme social distancing when you do." Klam says you get the inspection results and close with all that document signing online without ever leaving your keyboard.

This could be the new normal.
