The union representing Houston fire fighters says the administration of Mayor Sylvester Turner has rejected a COVID-19 claim made by one of its members.
Houston Professional Firefighters Association President Marty Lancton tells KTRH he can't believe it.
"This is outrageous. This is just one more indication of the Turner administration's failures and being behind the eight-ball. This is unacceptable and it needs to be fixed, Lancton said.
In a statement released by the union, Lancton also says the city has forced fire fighters who are quarantining to use personal time, sick time, or vacation.
