Houston Opens Testing to Anyone With Symptoms

The City of Houston is opening the testing site at Butler Stadium on the southwest side to pre-screened individuals of any age with symptoms. You have to call first for screening.

You can call the Houston Heath Department with questions and to arrange a testing appointment at the Covid 19 Call Center:

They are open Monday thru Friday 9am to 7pm and Saturday 9am to 3pm.

They don’t provide the results for people who have undergone tests.A separate company has been contracted for that and will notify individuals of their results.

Harris County has testing sites in Baytown and Katy. You go through the screening process at readyharris.org.

Mayor Turner said Saturday the city is only getting 250 test kits per day from the federal government and will not be able to open a second test site until they can procure more tests.

Signs could be posted around playgrounds and basketball courts and fences erected in Harris County parks with reminders about social distancing.Mayor Turner toured three parks yesterday and said there are still some issues with people congregating.
