There are 44 cases of coronavirus in the Houston area.

Harris County Public Health officials say they will not have testing sites for coronavirus opening today. Once they are opened, only individuals from high-risk groups who have been pre-screened will be tested. The information will be released to the public when it is available.

The immigration court on South Gessner is closed. The Department of Justice is delaying non-detained cases until April 10.

The Houston Zoo is live-streaming images of their animals on Facebook to entertain the half-million students out of school.

Governor Abbott is waiving expiration of driver’s licenses for 60 days, including commercial driver’s licenses and other forms of ID.

Local municipalities are allowed to waive holding the Saturday, May 2 municipal elections until November. This does not impact the May 26th primary run-off elections.

A doctor at Austin’s St. David’s Healthcare Systems has tested positive.

A second Texas death is reported in Arlington Tuesday night.
