Houston Livestock Show And Rodeo Closing Due To City Health Declaration

Mayor Turner just made it official. The rumored cancellation of this year's Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has come to pass. The City of Houston has issued a health declaration, mandating that all city produced or co-sponsored events in the month of March will be rescheduled or cancelled. This impacts RodeoHouston, the Tour de Houston, and many other events.

These new steps are in response to the first evidence of community spread in the Houston area of the COVID-19 Coronavirus. The case announced yesterday in Montgomery County was the first in a person without a related travel history.

The official RodeoHouston statement on the matter is here. A ticket refund process is still in the works and will be communicated once it is finalized.
