According to ABC 13, Fulshear 13-year-old Scout Neece was hunting with his dad on a private ranch in Colorado County on February 28 when they spotted the huge feral hog. He was able to take him down in one shot using his AR-15 rifle. Check out the photo in the video below.
Feral hogs can be very dangerous and are considered to be unprotected, exotic non-game species. According to Texas Parks & Wildlife, the hogs may be taken by any means or methods at any time of year.
Officials estimate there are roughly 1.5 million feral hogs in Texas.
