The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is into its first full weekend at NRG Park. Chance the Rapper performed last night on the main stage. Joel Cowley with the HLSR tells KTRH diversity is important to them.
"We know Houston is the most diverse major city in America, so we are mixing it up for eight nights," Cowley told Houston's Morning News.
Country star Maren Morris takes the stage tonight, with Ramon Ayala performing tomorrow for Go Tejano Day. Cowley says it's a beautiful weekend to spend the entire day at the rodeo.
"If you're comping out to enjoy the carnival, the food, and the shopping, come out early. If you're coming out for the show, stay all day," he said.
