Texas General Land Office wants you to honor a hero

The Texas General Land Office is hoping to give a military hero his proper sendoff.

Land Commissioner George P. Bush wants to honor an unaccompanied veteran, as SN Donald Lee Reule, who served in the Navy during the Korean war, will be laid to rest on Tuesday. Spokesperson Karina Erickson says Reule will get full military honors.

"We're asking the community to come out and attend. As of now we have not been able to locate any of his next of kin or family members," Erickson explained.

The service tajes place on Tuesday at the Coactal Bend Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi. Services begin at 2PM.

Reule received the National Defense Service Medal and Korean Service Medal for his service. He was 86 years old.
