There are many bluebonnet sightings in the Houston area. In February? Why so early? Experts say the additional rainfall is a big contributor as pushing the seeds to germinate earlier. If we experience a warm March the blooms may be not-so-hot. BUT - if spring temps don't go through the roof, the season could be one of the most beautiful yet.
In Houston you will see them:
- Along i-10 west of Katy
- In areas along the north freeway (in patches)
Across the state there's always the beautiful Texas Hill County, Travis County, Lake Buchanan and of course --- the LBJ National Grasslands.
