The Drug Enforcement Administration says Houston is one of the nation's top eight cities for meth distribution, including crystal meth.
The DEA announced Thursday that the Houston Field Division will be one of the eight divisions to receive part of a million-dollars in federal funds to target meth traffickers.
The agency says it will work with local prosecutors and state troopers to get the dangerous drug off the streets.
The DEA lists the other major hubs as Dallas, El Paso, New Orleans, Phoenix, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and St. Louis.
