Aggies Invest in Texas Medical Center

The Texas A&M University System plans to invest 500-million-dollars in a new engineering-medicine program at the Texas Medical Center in Houston.

The university system announced Thursday that the program will create a new category of medical professionals known as "physicianeers."

Students in the program at Holcombe and Main will become both engineers and medical doctors.

Their goal will be to create the next life-changing medical device.
