Jimmy Barrett engineered quite a treat for us on Houston’s Morning News. He brought in Presidential biographer and historian Doris Kearns Goodwin to talk about the man who began the Presidency, George Washington.
Goodwin is also producer of the upcoming series on the History Channel on Washington, narrated by actor Jeff Daniels. Jimmy was like a kid in a toy store; so excited about this interview. He was a neighbor of Daniels in Detroit and knows Goodwin from his many years in Richmond radio. Then there’s his keen interest in President Washington, something we share.
