Coronavirus is Confirmed in Texas

San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg held a press conference this morning. "We are here to notify you that the CDC has confirmed a case of the coronavirus, properly called COVID 19, in San Antonio," announced Nirenberg.

There were 91 Americans evacuated from the Wuhan province in China to be quarantined at Lackland Air Force Base a week ago. On Tuesday of this week one of those individuals, a solo traveler without family who was staying in a room alone, broke out in a fever. By last night the CDC was able to confirm with a test that it is coronavirus.

"The risk to the San Antonio public remains low," Nirenberg said. The patient is being kept in isolation at an undisclosed hospital...the other 90 evacuees will be released from quarantine February 20th.
