In Brazoria County, at about 7:00 Sunday morning, an historic 100+ year old church was destroyed by a massive fire. Pastor Carlton Wade described his thoughts by simply saying, "Our church is on the ground. But we'll figure out what to do."
The Greater New Macedonia Baptist Church congregation in Rosharon is without a building. Because of the early hour, no one was inside during the fire. No injuries are reported. Brazoria County Fire Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
