President Donald Trump is thanking Texas Republican Congressmen Louie Gohmert and John Ratcliffe for their support during impeachment.
Trump told Representative Gohmert Friday he was a tough guy with plenty of street smarts during a speech criticizing the impeachment process.
The President says Representative Ratcliffe is an incredible man and incredible lawyer.
The U.S. Senate acquitted Trump of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress charges yesterday.
Gohmert thanked the president for the shoutout on Twitter saying Trump has been "acquitted forever."
