Astros name Click new General Manager

The Astros get to Spring Training next week, and now they have their new management team completely in place.

Following the sign stealing scandal, owner Jim Crane fired A.J. Hinch and Jeff Luhnow last month. Late last week, the Astros named Dusty Baker their new manager. Now Baker has his boss in place as well.

The team formally introduced longtime Tampa Bay Rays executive James Click as their new GM. Click says he is looking to keep the Astros winning ways going.

"I am confident, that with the talent we have in the front office, and with the talent we have on the field, that we will be competitive for years to come," Click said.

Owner Jim Crane says he has no problems with hiring a first time GM.

"With his experience level, I think he's definitely the right person. I have no reservations whatsoever about putting him in this job. I know he can do it," Crane explained.
