We all know how this impeachment trial is going to end. What we don't know is what happens when it does.
The big questions are about the future of the Democratic Party. Republican strategist Bryan Preston says impeachment and the infighting of the 2020 campaign that we have seen play out during the debates has done a lot of damage.
"Some of the leaders who are emerging are extremely problematic to their messaging. Some on the left are warning that nominating someone like Bernie Sanders would be insanity," Preston explained.
The damage they are doing to themselves isn't just short term. Preston says it could have a long term impact.
"You may be damaging yourself beyond the general election. This could go on for multiple cycles," Preston said.
