The former HPD officer accused in the deadly Harding Street raid now faces a perjury charge in an unrelated case from more than ten years ago.
Gerald Goines arrested Otis Mallet in 2008 on a charge of cocaine possession.
Mallet was convicted and sent to prison for two years before his parole.
Mallet claims Goines committed perjury and withheld evidence in the case.
Goines was in court on Thursday of last week for a hearing about Mallet's case.
Goines is charged with murder in a deadly raid a year ago in which a man and woman were killed.
