Houston Firefighters rescued an elderly man Sunday afternoon after he fell into Buffalo Bayou while trying to rescue his one-eyed-dog. Both of them fell about about 12 feet into The Bayou. A passerby called 911. HFD's Marine Group deployed a rescue boat and swimmer who was able to reach the man, secure him in a life jacket and onto a boat. The victim was taken to shore and transported to the hospital for an evaluation. Everyone is happy to report that the crew was also able to rescue his one-eyed-dog! .
