A Texan Lost Hiking the Grand Canyon Found Alive

The National Park Service reports Martin O'Connor is alive.

The La Porte man went missing at the Grand Canyon last month but has been found alive.

Rangers found 58-year-old Martin O'Connor on Thursday on a difficult trail along the canyon's South Rim.

O'Connor had last been seen at a lodge in Grand Canyon Village on December 22nd.

After he was found O'Conner was airlifted from the canyon in a helicopter.

O'Connor is undergoing a medical evaluation after being exposed to the park's winter conditions.
