As of this week, Harris County counts at least 112 fatal car accidents. Harris County Sheriff's Office Lt. Susan Cotter of the Vehicular Crimes Unit says I-10 East has been the deadliest roadway this year with 10 fatalities. Three involved people not wearing seat belts. So far this year there have been over 1300 DWI arrests in the County,
Worse yet, Texas still leads the country in traffic deaths with at least one person dying on a Texas road every day since 2000.
For the Greater Houston area, 2019 remains deadlier than last year. Here's hoping 2020 won't follow suit.
