Contrary to liberal media, a recession is not just around the corner

Democrats, who are competing for a chance to face off with President Trump in 2020, are upset that the US economy is at its best in almost two decades, according to a new CNN poll.

In the past 10 years, there's been no recession, no downturn and not one in the foreseeable future.

Greater Houston Partnership’s senior vice president of research,Patrick Jankowski, said the economy is better off than people realize, they expect growth next year for Houston, as well as the entire country.

"In November we created 266,000 jobs, the unemployment rate is 3.5 percent, GDP is growing at 2.1 percent. That's fairly solid growth. That's something anybody should be happy to see," said Jankowski.

He says the trade wars won't get any worse.

"We're seeing two things. We are seeing a little bit of an easing up in the tension in the global trade wars. Right now it looks like there's a preliminary agreement with China and the US and it looks like we're going to pass the USMCA, the replacement for NAFTA," said Jankowski.

He said if there's any consumer sentiment of a bad economy, it's a false reflection of what's really happening.
