The chief operating officer for the Houston Airport System will soon take a new job as San Antonio's aviation director, responsible for the San Antonio airport and Stinson Municpial Airport.
San Antonio City Manager Erik Walsh announced this week that Jesus Saenz will take over on February 3rd.
Saenz has been overseeing all aspects of the management of Hobby Airport, Bush Intercontinental Airport, and the Houston Spaceport.
He'll direct phase two of the San Antonio International Airport System Strategic Development Plan.
Saenz arrives in San Antonio just as the city examines the airport's plans for at least the next 30 years.
The current San Antonio aviation director steps down at the end of this year.
