REPORT: Body taken from Jersey Village home believed to be Austin mother

FBI agents, along with Texas Rangers and Austin police officers were at a home near Jersey Village last night, conducting an investigation in connection with the search for an Austin mother and newborn missing since last week.

The Harris County Medical Examiner's Office says it did remove a body from the house, but has given no other details. NBC News is reporting that family members have told them the body is likely Heidi Broussard.

At the same time, an ambulance took a 1-month-old baby girl to the hospital get checked out. Reports say the baby had no signs of injury.

Broussard, 33, and her infant daughter Margot Carey were last seen about on Dec. 12th while dropping off a child at Cowan Elementary School in Austin, police said. Officials believe Broussard returned to her Austin home with her baby afterward, but they have not been seen or heard from since Thursday morning.

We will have more on this as it develops throughout the day.
