Funeral service for slain Nassau Bay Sergeant Kaila Sullivan

Law enforcement officers, friends, family and the public have gathered at Grace Church for the funeral of Nassau Bay Police Sergeant Kaila Sullivan.

Sullivan will be eulogized by her brother and the Nassau Bay Police Chief.

Following the funeral service, there will be a private procession for Sullivan through the City of Nassau Bay sometime between 11:45 a.m. and 12 noon. Officials say if you wish to pay your respects to line the streets of the city in support and remembrance of Sullivan.

The funeral starts at 10 am at Grace Church Houston, 14505 Gulf Fwy, Houston, TX 77034

Pastor Garett Booth will welcome those attending the service.

Friendswood Police Department Chaplain Moe Mays will read Sullivan’s obituary and a scripture.

Nassau Bay Mayor Mark Denman will make a proclamation

There will be a slide presentation of memories

A final message will be delivered by Mays.

Sullivan was killed in the line of duty Tuesday night, Dec. 10 while arresting a suspect who fled the scene. She was run over by the suspect’s vehicle and died later at the hospital.
