Houstonians decide their future in runoff election tomorrow

Houstonians head to the polls tomorrow to decide the city's future.

Mayor Sylvester Turner is being challenged by Tony Buzbee. Jared Woodfill with the Conservative Republicans of Texas says the runoff campaign has featured a different Buzbee.

"You're seeing more of a focused ground game. You're seeing him reach out to Bill King voters," Woodfill said, adding that Buzbee hasn't done as much on TV and has not been as bombastic as he was during the weeks and months leading up to the general election in November.

The polling says Turner has a big lead, but Woodfill doesn't buy it.

"Anybody could win. It's just a question of who can get their voters out," Woodfill stated.

And as for turnout, Harris County Elections Director Michael Winn says they're hoping for a good one.

"I think that it's going to be a really good and robust day," Winn said.

Polls will be open from 7am to 7pm.
