President Trump will be in Austin this afternoon to tour the MacBook Pro manufacturing facility and meet with Apple's CEO.
Christiana Purves with Trump Victory said this will be a big boost to the economy, not only in Austin, but Texas.
"Since the president has taken office, nearly 800,000 jobs have been added to Texas and unemployment is at a record low," said Purves. "Meanwhile, Democrats are advocating for higher taxes and trying to get rid of the average nearly $1,300 tax cut that Texans are enjoying right now," said Purves.
She said the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) needs to be passed to raise American's wages, create thousands of jobs in Texas and add to the US economy.
