Suspected DWI Hit 2 Pedestrians

Late Saturday night (11-2-2019), a man was driving his SUV and hit two people crossing a road in north Houston. He was driving a white Tahoe and hit the two who were trying to cross the street in the 100 block of Aldine Bender Road. He fled the scene. He had a prior felony warrant for his arrest and had at least 1 child as a passenger in the vehicle, according to Houston Police.

One pedestrian, the male, is in stable condition at a nearby hospital. The woman is in critical condition, also in the hospital.

The driver was taken into custody for suspicion of DWI and for leaving the scene of an accident without rendering aid. He faces at least 5 charges, according to HPD.
