Feeling Underpaid?

There are various factors that go into job satisfaction, and your salary is high on the list. Robert Half conducted a survey and found out almost half of you think you are underpaid. Do you identify? Business coach and trainer Kelly Accetta of Truth.Dot Coach says she hears it a lot in her practice. “I ask my clients --- it that really true? We need to get to the bottom of this to find out if it is really true.” She says to research your position's pay range on sites like Glassdoor.com and Salary.com, as well as talk to a former supervisor and contact a Professional Association for your occupation. And even if your pay is in range, make a list of all the things you do in your job. Says Accetta: “You just kept taking on a lot more than what you were originally hired to do.” Then have a talk with your boss. If that doesn't work out - it may be time to move on. “And companies are looking --- desperately looking – for quality employees.”
