You can no longer smoke or vape in most areas of California state parks and beaches. If you're caught lighting up a cigarette, cigar, pipe or electronic cigarette --- you will face a fine of up to $25. This new edict is to reduce the public risk of exposure to chemicals in tobacco smoke.
California Governor Gavin Newsome signed the bill Friday, October 11th. Both Governors Jerry Brown and Arnold Schwarzenegger vetoed the bill many times previously.
