Harris County has announced it has filed suit against a local refinery for an incident that took place earlier this month.
The suit is against Houston Refining for releasing excessive amounts of dangerous chemicals into the atmosphere last week.
Back on September third the company had a power loss that resulted in those chemicals being released into the air. The county says that the September third incident was the sixth time since December of 2016 that Houston Refining has had something like this happen to them.
