Summer movies have not generated the box office numbers Hollywood was counting on. They need the numbers because they are behind last year's totals. Paul Dergarabedian, the senior media analyst for Comscore, says not to worry. “There are a lot of good movies on the way that I think will be big hits. Even though the year-to-date box office numbers are down by 6 and a1/2% at this point --- hopefully by the end of the year we can have a new record at the box office.
