With all Houston kids now back in school, what your kids are being taught might surprise you.
As it turns out, there's a difference between what you're probably expecting and what's actually happening.
"The state curriculum says that our students should be learning about the founding principles of American and the amazing opportunities it presents," Kara Belew of the Texas Public Policy Foundation said.
That's what the curriculum says. But what's actually happening might be different.
"Your tax payers are paying for kids being taught about global warming and the virtues of socialism," Belew stated.
So, the liberal influence is no longer just on college campuses. It's all over the public school system, especially with textbooks like 'The Americans,' with Chapters on 'The Changing Face of America.'
