A recent survey by Clutch found that 48% of respondents in the U.S. owned a digital assistant, and 33% planned to buy one within the next three years.
The firm also found that 69% of voice assistant owners used their devices every day.
Over half of Americans own smart speakers, but Technology Attorney Tom Kulik says, "If you worry about being spied on, then you basically don't buy one."
He says, "You protect yourself a little by adjusting your privacy setting on your speakers, but other than that, just know your private info isn't all that private."
