Do People Really Lie at Work?!?!? *gasp*

"They were supposed to turn it in for me,"

"My grandmother died for the third time this year."

Some people make a habit of making up excuses in the workplace, which usually dumps extra work on others. Business Consultant Julie Nise says, “People who are in the 20 to 30 age range tend to do this kind of behavior than those who are older. They have a different set of values. We are a different culture now and the work ethic has suffered!”

Lying and making false excuses at work should tell you something about your job. She has some advice for those people. “If you’re in an environment where you are doing that kind of behavior, you ought to think about getting into another type of work environment.“ It should be something that is pleasant and relatively productive.“If you feel you have to lie to get out of being at work or to do your job --- it’s just not a good fit.” Be sure and remember that on your next employment.
