Arrest made in weekend road rage shooting

An arrest has been made in a road rage shooting that led to an explosion of fireworks contained in a truck over the July 4th holiday.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says Bayron Rivera surrendered to police last night.

"He is not in jail on four counts of aggravated assault," Gonzalez stated.

Gonzalez also said there was time for Rivera and the victims to cool down; that this all could have been avoided.

"This didn't just happen bam bam. There was some time, maybe twenty minutes or so. There were opportunities for both parties to disengage from this," the sheriff explained.

The incident left a young couple and their two children severely burned.
