Head’s up y’all. It’s Texas, land of orange barrels, and you’ll want to avoid areas where they collect this weekend.
Prime among them is Brazoria County’s State Highway 35 in Alvin. North and southbound lanes at SH 6 are closed until Monday morning.
In Brookshire, westbound lanes on I-10 at FM 1489 are closed and will require a feeder road detour.
Frequent drivers around the Galleria are accustomed to trouble on the West Loop, and will not be disappointed this weekend. The southbound on-ramp from Westheimer is closed.
The Southwest Freeway at the South Loop is an area to avoid. The northbound and southbound connector-ramps from 59 to 610 are closed and require going to San Felipe and hanging a U-turn.
