The American League All-Star Team could look remarkably like the Houston Astros starting lineup, if you have anything to say about it. Voting opens this morning to select the starters for the Midsummer Classic.
Seven Astros players are in the running for starting positions, including Jose Altuve (2B), Alex Bregman (3B), Carlos Correa (SS), and Robinson Chirinos (C). Outfielders George Springer, Michael Brantley, and Josh Reddick are in the top nine; the three highest vote totals will be in the starting lineup.
Online voting starts at 11:00am and runs until 3:00. Starters will be announced later tonight. Pitchers and backup players will be named on Sunday.
This year's All-Star Game will be played Tuesday, July 9th at Progressive Field in Cleveland.
