Dems set for debate tonight

Ten of the 2020 Democratic Presidential candidates hit the stage for the first debate of the campaign tonight.

Among those you'll see tonight are Beto O'Rourke and Elizabeth Warren. Political analyst George Seay with Annandale Capital tells us what we can expect.

“Trump bashing, a move left, and socialistic policies,” Seay said.

Former Harris County Democratic Party Chairman Gerry Birnberg says the candidates have very little time to make an impression.

“They’ve got to articulate the one issue they think they may be most able to appeal to someone on,” Birnberg stated.

And Seay says there will be little chance for anyone to move up in the polls.

“They may not even crack the top five, which is already pretty well established before they have a debate,” Seay explained.

And there's this; only 22% told a recent poll they knew a lot about the candidates’ positions
