Houston firefighters say Mayor's pothole promise is empty

Houston firefighters apparently have to fix their own potholes because the city didn't come through when they called to get them fixed.

In a Facebook post yesterday , the Houston firefighters' questioned Mayor Sylvester Turner's pothole program, which promised to get repair jobs started within 24 hours of a complaint.

"Houston firefighters at work: So much for Mayor Sylvester Turner's vaunted "100%" pothole program. Six months ago, the crew at Station 4 requested repairs of potholes that rocked the pumper every time it left the station. The city did nothing. So, the D-shift crew at the station took matters into their own hands."
