New details come out in case of missing Houston four-year old

There are new details emerging in the case of missing four year old Maleah Davis.

Maleah's stepfather, Derion Vence, has been arrested and charged with tampering with physical evidence in the case.

Probable cause documents that were talked about in court yesterday reveal that on May 5th, the same day an Amber Alert was issued for the little girl, detectives with the Houston Police Homicide Division searched Brittany Bowens' apartment with her permission. Bowens is Maleah's mother.

Police said in the documents that they found drops of blood in the hallway that led to the bathroom. Inside the bathroom, they found more blood.

Police say they sprayed a chemical that reacts to the presence of blood that may not be seen by the naked eye. The chemical showed the presence of blood and that it reacts "when a person has attempted to clean up blood," according to the probable cause document.

Samples of the DNA found were positively matched with DNA on Maleah's toothbrush. Additionally, the DNA matched "a person who is the maternal offspring of Brittany Bowens.
