Gas prices drop in Houston

Houston drivers are seeing something that they haven’t seen in nearly three months.

The price of a gallon of gas, after weeks of rising, has come down. The price went from $2.65 last week to $2.63 this week.

“Pretty sure drivers are happy to see a little relief at the pump,” Daniel Armbruster with AAA Texas said.

Armbruster says the reason we saw this was because there was an all-time record for crude production. But he also says it’s not something you can count on.

“I don’t think is a trend that will last long. Demand remains robust and the summer driving season is right around the corner,” he explained.
