Child Shot in Southwest Houston

Houston police say they are investigating a case of road rage.

Officials confirm a 1-year-old was shot in southwest Houston.

The shooting happened near a gas station at 8601 Southwest Freeway around 1:15 p.m.

Police say someone started shooting into the victim's car, where a 1-year-old and another young child were inside.

The 1-year-old was shot once in the upper shoulder area, according to police.

The child was transported to Texas Children's Hospital in stable condition.
