ITC Facing Criminal Charges For Deer Park Chemical Fire

According to KHOU 11, Intercontinental Terminals Company, the company responsible for the massive Deer Park chemical plant fire back in March, has been charged by the Environmental Crimes Division of the Harris County District Attorney's Office. The five charges could carry fines of up to $100,000 each.

The fire, which burned for days, was reportedly started by a leak in a tank manifold. The ECD determined that water pollution in Tucker Bayou was at criminal levels March 17-March 21.
