Train Fire Forces Evacuations in Fort Worth

Evacuations and a shelter-in-place are ordered for neighborhoods on the south side of Fort Worth, after a Union Pacific freight train derailed and caught fire.

Heavy thunderstorms are moving through the area, but there is no word on whether the weather is linked to the derailment. Four cars carrying ethanol reportedly left the tracks. Flames spread to an outbuilding near the tracks.

According to their Twitter account, the Fort Worth Fire Department's Mobile Command Unit caught fire. Officials say it is not related to the train derailment.

Hazmat teams were monitoring air quality conditions. No injuries have been reported.
